MAGGIE RUSSELL: “The Blessing of Good Dreams”

Join us on Friday, September 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. for Maggie Russell’s art opening!

Maggie Russell lives and works as an artist in Midtown Memphis, where she primarily uses charcoal and paint. In her most recent series, “The Blessing of Good Dreams,” which will be displayed at Eclectic Eye, Russell explores the phenomenon of dreaming and the awe that it inspires in her. Throughout her work on this series, she has been humbled and surprised by the end results.

Maggie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hendrix College and a Master of Fine Arts from The Memphis College of Art. In addition to these degrees, she has studied in The New York Studio School’s summer programs. Her work can be found at Memphis’ Jay Etkin Gallery, where she is represented, Southside Gallery in Oxford, Mississippi, The Red Cup in Washington Island, Wisconsin and many private collections around the country.
