Lynn currently resides in California, but her heart has always remained in Memphis. We are thrilled to have her in town for an art reception and hope you will join us in welcoming her back to a place she loves dearly – Memphis.
Growing up, Lynn’s passion for the city was shared with her grandmother, but it wasn’t until she walked through the halls of the University of Memphis and the Memphis Public Library that the same love was reaffirmed.
Her latest work, “Elements,” emits a warmth of color and pure joy. Using acrylic paint, this series is mostly comprised of small works on canvases. This series will be on display at our Midtown store until May 31. Be sure to stop by to browse her art!
About Lynn
Lynn’s passion for art carried her to California, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Southern California and a Master of Fine Arts from UC Berkeley. Although, she works and resides in California, she seizes any opportunity to return to Memphis.
Lynn finds she is most happy when she has the freedom to paint while listening to the sounds of Louis Armstrong, New Orleans Jazz or world music. Throughout her career, her art has been influenced by David Hockney, Richard Diebenkorn, Stanley Whitney, Henri Matisse and paintings of the Fauves.
