Anne et Valentin + theo Trunk Show with Special Guest, Ron Olson

We celebrated the first weekend of the official Summer season with unique eyewear and local art. We are hosted a trunk show for cutting-edge and fashionable eyewear brands – Anne et Valentin and theo – the weekend of June 23, with special guest, Ron Olson, showcasing his artwork at our Midtown store.

Missed the event? We have a variety of frames in store and Ron’s art will be available to browse and for purchase at our Midtown store until July 26, so come see us!

About Ron Olson
Ron Olson is an artist who lives and works in Memphis. Ron is a self-taught folk artist whose work is characterized by many layers, textures and words. His most recent series, “Destination Memphis,” will be on display at our Midtown location until July 26, and provides a visual journey of Memphis music. The inspiration for this collection stems from his passion for the South, the Blues and the iconic places that lead so many musicians to Memphis. All works are acrylic and mixed media on canvas, metal and/or wood.

He’s also known for his day job as a morning radio personality on WMC-FM100. He has held this position for over 30 years, and therefore, his love for music and Memphis runs deep. Ron was the featured artist for “Million Dollar Quartet” at Playhouse on the Square, and just completed his second commissioned piece for “Live at the Garden” for the Memphis Botanic Garden concert series. His work has also been featured in RSVP Magazine, Downtowner Magazine and CLICK Magazine.
