“Eye on Color” by Debbie Crawford at our Midtown store from November 11, 2016 – January 4, 2017!
Debbie’s most recent series, “Eye on Color,” will be featured at Eclectic Eye Midtown until January 4, 2017. The majority of the pieces are acrylic on canvas or board, but there is one watercolor of B.B. King that you do not want to miss!
As you’ll see in her series, “Eye on Color,” Debbie’s passion for animals and the city of Memphis shows up in her work. Her paintings are vibrant and expressive with a focus on shape and relationship between colors.
She has incorporated at least one eye into each piece of this series, so come to her art opening to see if you can spot them all!

Debbie’s Background
Debbie is a native Memphian, who, thanks to her parents, became interested in art at an early age. She fell in love with painting through a watercolor class taught by Fred Rawlinson in 1998. From there, she expanded her levels of art to include acrylic painting and continues to explore different mediums and tools such as spray paint, oil pastels, palette knife and ink. Her work has been shown in many places including, The Downtowner Magazine, At Home Memphis and Mid South Magazine, CityFolk Gallery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Longriver Gallery and Midtown Framer in Memphis, and the Children’s Museum of Memphis. She has been selling her art for 17 years locally and is represented by CityFolk Gallery.
