At Eclectic Eye, we pride ourselves on finding and introducing the most unique frames to the Memphis area. One of our favorite lines, Francis Klein, is a truly exceptional brand from Paris, which remains family-owned to this day. Francis Klein has designed all of the frames since 1970, and now his daughters, Dixie and Betty, run the optical boutique in Paris. They also spend time touring the United States and other countries, bringing Francis Klein to optical shops across the world.
Our staff loves the independent spirit and details that go into Francis Klein eyewear. Each frame is handmade, completely customizable, and takes about three to four months to produce. They offer great colors, embedded fabric, shapes and sizes. You can also add beautiful, unique elements such as the highest grade Swarovski crystals, gold details pressed from molds that belonged to French royalty and special hand-painted features. Each frames is a distinctive piece of jewelry to be worn on the face. Once you are familiar with the line, it is easy to spot fellow Francis Klein aficionados while out and about.
We only have the opportunity to see Francis Klein eyewear twice a year in person, once at the Vision Expo in New York City in early spring, and once more when a brand rep makes the journey to the United States in the fall. We love getting to see and feel the frames in person and customize our stock (and usually get a few for ourselves)! We have an upcoming visit with our Francis Klein rep October 2.
